A British actor who abandoned his Hollywood career to fight against ISIS has denied threatening to commit suicide after being asked to leave several Kurdish fighting units for disruptive behaviour.
Michael Enright, who appeared in Pirates Of The Caribbean alongside Johnny Depp, joined an ever-increasing group of Westerners fighting alongside Kurdish forces in northern Syria earlier this year.
But last week a former US Marine who acts a spokesman and de facto leader of the Westerners posted a message on Facebook urging America or Britain to send somebody to remove Enight from the warzone before his erratic and abusive behaviour leads to him being abandoned or murdered.

Speaking to the media for the first time since Jordan Matson's extraordinary social media message, Enright said claims he was mentally unstable, had physically assaulted a number of people since arriving in Syria and no longer had a properly functioning gun were not based on fact.
He added that he was baffled by media coverage of what he described as internet 'tittle-tattle'.
In his original post Matson wrote: 'Michael Enright the mentally unstable actor who is in rojava is in danger of being killed by one of many westerners and kurds who want to bury him [sic].'

'This man has been the biggest p.o.s that ever walked in rojava, immediately after coming here he tried selling his story to the media [sic],' he added.
Matson went on to reveal that Enright has already been kicked out of four different YPG fighting units, adding that the actor 'assaulted one of my fellow veterans here and threatened to kill another.'
'Threatening to kill a vet in a war zone doesn't end well,' Matson added.
But Manchester-born Enright denied any of this was true, telling CNN: 'I've not been asked to leave by four generals, I've not put a gun in my mouth or wanted to kill myself, I've not been threatened in any way by the Kurds.'
'I love the Kurds and the unit I'm in is the best - it's something about being in a situation like this [that] brings out something very special, definitely, in me and in the lads that I could never replicate in civilian life,' he added

Enright also attempted to counter allegations that he only went to Syria for publicity and was planning to use his experiences to make a film about his time battling ISIS.
'This is about the evil that is called ISIS and exterminating it from the face of the earth,' he said. 'It's about substantial things, real things,' he added.
Attempting to justify why he carries two cameras on his person at all times and why he has repeatedly spoken to the media since arriving in Syria, Enright said it was all done because he didn't want incorrect information or negative media coverage to impact on his fight against terrorists.
Manchester-born Enright, 51, whose acting CV involves roles alongside Hollywood A-listers Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway, joined the Kurdish YPG forces battling ISIS in March.
But his role in Syria was called into serious question last week when Matson branded him 'mentally unstable' and called him a 'piss of s**t' who only went to the warzone to 'sell his story'.
Matson said that Enright has done nothing but provoke and infuriate both the Westerners and Kurds he is fighting alongside since arriving in Syria.
'He constantly lies and tries manipulating everyone around him both kurd and westerner. The generals have even told us they try keeping him away from everyone for fear that there own men will kill him,' the ex-Marine said.

American Jordan Matson joined YPG to battle ISIS (related)
FIRST US VOLUNTEER DIES WHILE FIGHTING ISIS ALONGSIDE KURDISH MILITIA DURING ARTILLERY EXCHANGE IN SYRIA
A volunteer fighter has become the first American to be killed while serving with the Kurdish YPG in Syria.
Keith Broomfield, 36, originally from the town of Westminster near Boston, Massachusetts, joined the volunteer fighting group on February 24 and died on June 3 in a battle in the village of Qentere.
He died near the border town of Kobani, said Nasser Haji, an official with the YPG.
State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke confirmed Bloomfield's death.
Broomfield's mother, Donna, told NBC News from the family home in Westminster that she learned from her other son that Keith, who had been the production manager for the family's manufacturing firm, was dead.
She said: 'He turned his life over to the Lord and he decided this was God's will and God wanted him to do it.'
Mrs Broomfield said her son had left to fight around four months ago and while there was 'a little bit of texting' after he first arrived, lately she had heard 'nothing'.
She said: 'I didn't want him to go but I didn't have a choice in the matter.
Matson also revealed that YPG generals have removed the pin from Enright's assault rifle some months ago amid fears for his safety, rendering the weapon useless.
Since then, Matson wrote, Enright has been 'running around taking pictures of himself in the rear saying he killed daesh [ISIS] with a weapon he cant even fire'.
In a chilling sign off, Matson added: 'THE STATE DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO SEND SOMEONE TO RECIEVE HIM BEFORE YOU HAVE THE FIRST U.S. DEATH IN SYRIA [sic],' apparently unaware that Enright is actually a British national despite living in the United States.
Last month Enright spoke exclusively to the Mail on Sunday upon arriving in Syria, revealing his determination to stand up to ISIS.
'It's got to a point where I just want to absolutely annihilate them, and kill them on sight,' he said.
'IS are just an abomination. This is a call to humanity, it's a call to everybody, to do whatever we can, in whatever way we can.'
Enright has been in Syria for more than three months, receiving basic training from the YPG after risking his life to reach them.
He wanted to join American President George W Bush’s war against terror after 9/11 in 2001, and planned to enlist in the US Army back then before being talked out of it by friends.
But 14 years on, the final straw for him came in January when he saw the IS video of Jordanian pilot Muath Al-Kassasbeh being burned to death.
Enright is said to keep the gruesome footage on his mobile phone and watches it whenever his zeal to fight wanes.
