November 2, 2013 (CHICAGO) -- A Chicago man has been charged with firing a paintball gun at people in an apparent Halloween prank that went wrong when someone with a real gun fired back and injured the man's acquaintance. Police say 39-year-old Jason Wells of the Englewood neighborhood on the city's South Side has been charged with one misdemeanor count of possessing and discharging an air rifle. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that a 21-year-old man with Wells on Thursday night is also accused of firing a paintball gun. He was shot by someone wielding a real gun and was hospitalized. The wounded man has not been charged. abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local/chicago_news&id=9311077

That is a bad day when you get your friend shot and you get charged with discharging an air rifle. I bet he thought he was in a paintball game and it would only sting and leave a little bruise.

I have little remorse for the 'shooter' Taking a paintball gun out in public (those things cam look very realistic) and shooting at folks is a horrible idea. Save it for the paintball field. It's all fun and games till someone feels threatened and pulls a real gun.
